Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento

Ashton Blaise Whitty (born October 1, 95 in Berkeley California) is an actor. Her work as an actress is popular for Choices (2010, The Heart and Other Small Shapes, 2006) and Chrissie Mair's Content House, 2022.

Asia Argento was raised in Rome by a film and actor family. The two professions she chose to pursue were her own. Her first film came out when she was only nine years young in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e bisogni. In 1988, she had the leading role in the debut film of Cristina Comencini, Zoo, and was in the ensemble of The Church directed by Michele Soavi. Red Wood Pigeon, the film in which she starred as Nanni Moretti's little daughter was released just a few years later. But it is Close Friends by Michele Placido which saw Asia's acting career explode. Cannes International Film Festival received the film well. Daria Nicholodi is one of the most beloved actresses of Argento and performed the part of an anorexic child searching for the killer. Asia's intense and absorbed acting style was put to good use in Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato nozze. She played Arianna in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di vista, a physically-disabled girl, was a difficult and complicated role that brought her the David di Donatello award as the most outstanding actor. The film also featured her in a major performance in Queen Margot, directed by Patrice Cereau. In 1995, she starred alongside Michel Piccoli in Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio which again brought her the David di Donatello as well as a Grolla of Oro. In 1994 Asia decided to try directing and turned out two short films an episode of the film De Generazione In 1996 she directed a documentary on her father. In 1998, another film on the the cult director Abel Ferrara, AbelAsia which received an award from The Rome Film Festival. Asia made her debut as a director in 1999 with Scarlet Diva. The film was also the principal actress and screenwriter. The film premiered in May 2000 in Italy and the rest of the world. The Williamsburg Festival for Films located in Brooklyn, New York awarded the film with a prize.
