Sasha Allen is the transgender openly woman who sang transgender, making it onto the Live Shows on the Voice, made history as they made it there. The first time in 21 years of The Voice contests Sasha could make it past the Battle Rounds. Sasha Allen and Jim Newtown, Conn. duo have made it into the Top 8 of the contest! Sasha revealed that he's transgender on the Blind Auditions package. He stated to Parade.com that it took a lot of thought in making that choice. Sasha made the transition in highschool, and admitted that it was difficult to reveal such a vulnerable side of himself in front of so many people. "But [last week during the week of fan-worship], witnessing people's reactions to and support for the show as well as the impact it has had on those around you really demonstrated that the decision was worthwhile and it was the right move, even though it was a hard one to make." "'Have You Ever Seen the Rain' is an album that's been in the list of songs that we've always wanted to feature on the show for a many years," Sasha told Parade.com. "We played it before The Voice was even a thing in our lives. We were so excited to receive the song. We already knew the song and had some ideas of how to structure it. They were awestruck."
