In 2014-2017, she was a guest star in the role of Sofia Rodriguez in the ABC Family/Freeform sitcom Young & Hungry and Young & Foodies. She will also voice Adora/She Ra on the DreamWorks animation show She-Ra and The Princesses of Power, which can be seen on Netflix. Carrero engaged with actor Tim Rock in November 2015 They were married on August 16, 2016. She played Elena The Princess of Avalor, in Sofia the First, a spinoff of the series.
